Flower Care
Fower Care Instructions Making your flowers last longer Change the water in the vase every two days, giving the stems a fresh cut at the same time. Keep your flowers as cool as possible. Do not place your flowers above a radator or any heating appliance. Remove any foliage near the bottom of the stems prior to putting into water. Remove any blooms that have gone over to keep your flowers looking at there best and encourage remaining blooms to open. Cut Flower Traditional Bouquet Remove all packaging Prepare an appropriate supportive clean vase of fresh deep water and add sachet of flower food. Remove the bottom leaves so no foliage is under water. Cut approximately 3cm off each stem on a slant so there is a larger surface area for the water to be taken up.
Immediately after cutting place in the prepared vase of water.
Hand Tied Arrangement Remove all packaging Do not untie the string around your flowers. Prepare an appropiate supportive clean vase of fresh deep water and add sachet of flower food. Remove the bottom leaves so that no foliage is under water. Cut approximately 3cm off each stem on a slant so there is a larger surface area for the water to be taken up. Immediately after cutting place in the prepared vase of water.
Hand Tied Aqua Pack Your Aqua pack may be left in its own bubble of water for a few days, however please ensure that you keep the water level topped up. To do this take to a sink and pour water into the cellophane bubble using a jug or something similar. Always stand your aqua on a tray or waterproof surface. After a day or two we recommend you remove all packaging and follow all instructions for the hand tied arrangement.
Flower Arrangement Place your arrangement in a cool place on a waterproof surface. Mist spray your arrangement daily After a few days top up the water by pouring water onto the oasis that the flowers are arranged in.
Roses Roses are one of the more delicate flowers and need special care and attention in order to prolong their life. Follow the instructions for cut flowers, traditional bouquet. Keeping your roses in a cool place will prolong their life.
If you find that the heads of your roses droop then they are not taking the water up. Recut the stems taking a good 5cm off each stem, place them in a clean supportive vase of deep cold water. You may even find wrapping the roses (supporting the heads) in damp paper for a few hours will help.
